What is a single family office?
A single family office (SFO) is a private organization that manages the wealth of one ultra-high-net-worth family. Unlike a registered investment adviser, an SFO serves only its own family, files no SEC Form ADV and reports no client accounts; only offices managing $100 million or more in listed U.S. securities file quarterly 13F holdings — so public data is limited and AUM figures are third-party estimates.
These profiles focus on what can be documented: the founding family, headquarters, estimated assets, and structure. See our data methodology for how the figures are sourced.
