About Woo Hon Fai Group
The Woo Hon Fai Group is the Hong Kong single family office of the late Woo Hon Fai (胡漢輝). Born in Shunde in southern China, he moved to Hong Kong and founded Lee Cheong Gold Dealers Limited in 1950; in 1970 he was elected president of the Hong Kong Gold & Silver Exchange Society. He also served as the founding chairman of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, deputy chairman of the Hong Kong Commodity Exchange and vice chairman of the Hong Kong Real Estate Association. The office is now led by his eldest grandson, Darrin Woo, who oversees it with a focus on originating, selecting and managing hedge funds, private equity and venture capital investments; separately he co-founded Blake's, a real estate investment company active in urban revitalisation. Assets are estimated by third parties at roughly $200 million.
