Raay Global Investments

RAAY Global Investments is the single family office of Amit Patni, a member of the promoter family behind Patni Computer Systems, one of India's pioneering software services companies, which the family exited when it was sold to iGate in 2011. Patni established RAAY in 2002 in Mumbai to manage the family's capital across asset classes, and after the exit he became active in India's startup ecosystem. RAAY deliberately caps its exposure to early-stage ventures given their risk, allocating the balance to more conservative holdings. Patni anchored a series of venture funds through RAAY, including Nirvana Venture Advisors, focused on Indian internet and mobile companies, as well as The Hive India and Ideaspring Capital, building a portfolio of roughly forty startups via those funds and direct investments. He also serves on the boards of the advisory firm Waterfield Advisors and Campden Family Connect. A third-party estimate places its assets under management at around $300M.
