About Ingleside Investors
Ingleside Investors, also known as A.C. Israel Enterprises, is the New York–based holding company for the investment interests of the Israel family. The family's involvement in global markets began in the 1890s in New Orleans importing coffee, cocoa, and other commodities, which led to the creation of ACLI, one of the world's leading commodity trading firms; its private equity investing began in the 1950s with the acquisition of the Ohio-based Lane Drug chain, later merged into Peoples Drug. ACLI and Peoples Drug were both sold in the early 1980s, and Ingleside has operated as a financial holding company since. The office focuses on private equity, combining direct company investments—often alongside partners—with allocations to leading fund managers. Its portfolio includes ventures such as Hissho Sushi, Aligned Modern Health, and the TWA Hotel at JFK International Airport. Assets are estimated by third parties at roughly $100M.
