About Evolem
Evolem is the single family office of French insurance entrepreneur Bruno Rousset, established in Lyon in 1997. Rousset founded the insurance brokerage APRIL in 1988 with Xavier Coquard, which later became the APRIL Group and floated on the Paris stock exchange. The office was seeded with APRIL's profits, contributed year after year to back entrepreneurial projects, and changed dimension after the 2019 sale of the insurance wholesaler to CVC. In that transaction Evolem transferred its majority stake to a holding controlled by CVC Capital Partners funds while retaining a minority interest. The firm invests across SMEs it aims to grow into mid-caps and startups in commercial acceleration, alongside real estate and philanthropy. Third-party estimates put assets around $500M; Evolem has backed 90 companies with €200M invested since inception. Now chaired by a member of the Rousset family, it is run with a supervisory board including Bruno Rousset's adult children.
