About Castlegate Investments
Castlegate Investments is the Dublin single family office of Irish entrepreneur Tommy Kelly, established in 2021 to manage the wealth he generated from cross-border e-commerce firm ESW. Kelly founded ESW (formerly eShopWorld) in 2010, and Asendia, the joint venture between La Poste Group and Swiss Post, took full ownership of the Dublin-based company in 2021, buying the remaining stake from Kelly; press reports estimate his combined proceeds at roughly €600 million. The office runs a global portfolio across public and private markets, with third-party estimates placing assets around $300 million. Led by former Goodbody Stockbrokers chief executive Roy Barrett, CastleGate acquired 100 per cent of Sherry FitzGerald, Ireland's largest estate agent, for about €50 million in 2022. It also led a €21 million funding round in Irish cybersecurity company CWSI and committed €30 million to a fund run by Molten Ventures.
