About Ackerley Partners
Ackerley Partners is the Seattle-based single-family office of the Ackerley family, whose wealth stems from The Ackerley Group, a broadcasting, television and outdoor-advertising company founded by Barry Ackerley in 1975 and sold to Clear Channel Communications in 2002. The office was established in 2002 by Ted and Chris Ackerley as the family's investment practice, deploying proceeds from a sale reported in the range of roughly $800 million to about $1.1 billion. Its estimated assets under management of $500M is a third-party figure. The family has a long operating history in professional sports, having owned all or part of franchises including the Seattle SuperSonics, Seattle Storm, Seattle Seadogs, Seattle Seawolves, Coachella Firebirds and, most recently, the NHL's Seattle Kraken.
